I’d heard that this was like… TERRIBLE, but it’s really just a case of diminishing returns. Yes it mostly follows the beats of the first movie and yes all of those beats are worse this time around, but not by that much! It’s honestly a pretty solid buddy cop flick that’s really only dragged down by the first movie existing.

Compared to the original 48 Hrs, this movie isn't that good, but it is still a decent movie without the comparison. The comedy is still good, Nick Nolte and Eddie Murphy are still a very good duo, The Critics are wrong to say that this film sucks, it's awesome.
