I tried to go in with an open mind to this considering the controversy surrounding it.
But oh my life this is terrible, I genuinely can’t believe how bad this is.
The ghost face reveals and motives are the absolute worst in the franchise, the neighbour with like two scenes and the psych ward worker with ONE scene. I still can’t figure out why they done it.
How could it get worse than Roman?!

Well, they finally made a Stab movie. Who would have thought.

Paramount and Spyglass really said “lemme fire unjustly the new face of the franchise so that the co-lead, one of the biggest stars of the new generation of actors and scream queens, leaves the movie by herself. Also, lemme call back any single possible actor from the older movies just to take a huge, steaming dump on them”. I know it’s just work and I don’t want to make any kind of parasocial delusion about anything, but if I was Neve Campbell, after the way the studio refused to pay me my due for Scream 6 and then crawled back to me for Scream 7 only to put me in this dumpster fire of a story, I would be royally pissed, but hey, that’s just me.

2/10 wow this sucks. I didn’t want to believe the bad reviews but man everything in this just jumped down in quality. Acting wise this was the worst yet. I mean I ain’t expecting Oscar level acting but what was this. Story wise so predictable and dry. Like this is easily the worst story they put together. Brought back the Meeks twins for no reason at all even though I love the characters. And I could’ve swore Gale died in Scream 6. She was awesome while she had screen time but it sucks they just wasted her so much in this. I’m happy Neve Campbell got a payday but I’m in the minority where I just haven’t always been the biggest fan of Sid. I think it was cool we got a decent amount of old ghost-faces back. The killers were trash. I don’t even remember there 2 names because they were so insignificant to the plot. I mean dude was in the movie for 25 seconds and he was a killer like what. And the girls reason for killing her OWN son was just so stupid. How was Sid’s husband even alive he got stabbed like 4 times at that point of the movie it was a couple hours ago. Worst third act in all Scream movies ever easily. Now my short list of positives are the kills were pretty cool and a couple of jump-scares did get me. The opening scene like the rest of the movies  was actually pretty fun with some really cool kills. This opening ranks number 6 on my list of opening scenes as it just ain’t as iconic as the rest but still really fun. Bringing Stu Macher back even though he wasn’t real was the best part easily I mean I love Matthew Lillard. Even though I think Kevin Williamson did a bad job at directing this it was cool they finally let him direct a Scream movie. As he is one of the guys that came up with the idea of this iconic franchise. But man please don’t let him make another one. Bring back Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin because they know how to direct a great Scream movie. Jenna and Melissa were so incredibly missed in this and the studio just did Melissa so dirty. The movie has done great in the box office so we will be getting a Scream 8 likely which I will be there for because this is one of my favorite franchises ever. I just hope Scream 8 isn’t like the dumpster fire of Scream 7.
