The Other
Just bad. DON'T WATCH. Not sure if it's bad, good. I just wasn't that invested, and the structure didn't really sell or build up the reveal as much as I'd like.

Also don't adopt a kid just because it's an alternative after not being to conceive. I think maybe that's what this movie was saying, but in beween the practical effects and the bad acting I think it was kind of lost.

If you're thinking of adopting, maybe go to therapy or do some work before taking on a kid who clearly needs more help than your judgemental and narrow worldview can handle. I absolutely fucking hated the dynamic between the husband and wife, tone deaf and white to a fault.

I'm also so tired, I can't do this right now. Sorry. Last stretch stood out to me the most, actually horrific.

edit: Also the scene where the kid who happens to be mute, black, and a girl, getting brain surgery via power tool with NO ANESTHESIA made me physically ill. There's some commentary on that, I'll find the review.

2.00 am good night. Watched this crap while half asleep so glad I managed to skip a good portion of it.

Went into this knowing zero about it and was pleasantly surprised. A decent low budget horror. Scene stealer had to be the doctor though, I genuinely laughed out loud.

YOU CANT HANDLE THAT SUBJECT MATTER WHITE BABY. means well but you can just feel the directors stupidity leaking out of the screen at every turn. seemed to be cumming its pants in anticipation of being called genius on film twitter. unintentionally feels like a parody of 2020s horror movie trends
