God damn, this movie needed the fat trimmed off of it so bad, 6 hours long is insane. I had to make this a mini series pretty much to get through it. If this was a tv show, it would’ve actually been decent but you’re saying I have to enjoy this film in one 6 hour chunk is crazy. Yeah, there’s a whole lot that they could’ve just trashed to make this a tolerable 4 hour movie but no, they hate the viewer. For me especially, if a movie lacks pacing, it really drags it down, this movies pacing is nonexistent which to me is a major problem because you’re losing your viewers. On another note not related to the fact that this movie is a literal half a waking day long, they needed someone to definitely go through and put a sound filter over time of the mics, like some scenes you could here every lip smack and mouth click, it was kind of gross and don’t even get me started on the swapping spit scenes, it sounded like a damn washing machine going through a car wash, narsty. The good thing is the story was actually solidly done, I liked how it followed some very major historical events through the eyes of some fictional characters. It was almost like a forest gump type movie. It would’ve been a relatively solid B tier film if somebody told the director to stop filming random bullshit. Someone needed to be like yo, director, chop off the fluff. Yeah, I despised it because it was too long, sue me. I would rather stub my toe daily than have to watch this in it’s entirety in one sitting and no, I will not watch this again. Thank you and goodnight.
