This pre-code Hollywood take on the Letter From An Unknown Woman story is an effectively bittersweet melodrama by all accounts and is up my alley, but I really would like to give this another shot when I don't have to watch this in oddly cropped potato quality. Apparently a restoration exists but it's just not available some reason, Kino Lorber or someone needs to get to it. Anyway, worth a watch for Margaret Sullavan and the pre-code approach to legitimately interesting ideas, but I'd hold off until a restoration is available. Also go watch the 1948 Letter From An Unknown Woman in the meantime, that's a fantastic film based on the same material.
