I remember when Epic had just been released and McDonald's had toys based on it that were absolutely terrible. Thankfully, the film is much better, and its due to its brilliant cast and beautiful visuals. The plot is a little odd, what with big turning small and a lot of leaves and plants, but its definitely followable. I wish we got to see more of Queen Tara and Ronin's story, though, because I'd say the five minutes they interacted were the best of the entire film. I'm not the biggest fan of the animation style, because it gave me huge uncanny valley vibes, especially from M.K., but overall this isn't a bad kids film at all.
