Just finished this! My first Jean Claude movie. There’s a little bullshido going on, there’s a lot of brick and board breaking. The acting is not that great either. Chong li is a menacing villain even though he only had like 2-3 times he spoke pure beast. Jean Claudes acting is okay but dude was roundhouse kicking a speed bag that’s nuts to me. The fighting was actually well done and the best part in the movie, which is what you come to see when you watch this type of movie. Scenes where they actually look like they’re hitting each other broken bones and blood, tremendous. He is Literally Johnny Cage, this had to inspire Mortal Kombat. The Kumate and the way everyone was introduced felt like the OG MK. They definitely had to draw inspiration!
