A large spaceship appears over Tokyo three years before the story starts. A one-sided war against the seemingly harmless aliens ensues, sparking controversy and pacifism. Despite this unique and tragic event, high school girls Koyama Kadode and Nakagawa Ouran behave as if nothing has changed. They live their days like they always have. The focus of this story is not the alien invasion, but human nature, dialogue, growing up, and life.

Fan of the comic. Kadode, what the fuck are you doing. This comic has really controversial topics and I love it. Really political too. I feel like people are missing the point bc it seems like a cute slice of life anime. Pay attention!!

come descrivere l’immobilismo sociale e politico giapponese in uno dei modi più svegli e intrattenenti che ci siano: debitore di district 9 e di una caterva di prodotti occidentali, ma asano come al solito ci inserisce una critica pungentissima dosata con un pentolone pieno fino all’orlo.

sta serie (sto guardando la serie ma sono usciti come film) urla tantissime cose, spesso abbozzandole e lasciandole un po’, ma tra dialoghi super cazzoni e riflessioni un po’ troppo esagerate per delle ragazzine io mi sto divertendo da matti.

ah e poi è proprio stiloso.

took me till ep 5 to realize this was one of Asano Inio's work (your average got busted with 1TB of cp).The uncomfortable sexualization of some minor characters in the first episodes already was a red flag...ain't watching some pedo's trash so yeah m out. Asano’s biggest hater here!
