i always think adaptations of hound of the baskervilles can be made more scary and shadowy and gruesome. this was definitely a better try than a lot I have seen, very stylised, but as with a lot of them lacking the actual hound apart from the climatic 10 secs. peter cushing is such a perfect holmes, hes got the right energy. christopher lee is really attractive in this however he could never sell me as being the good guy it's just not in his nature I think
