A coming-of-age story that follows Matias, an Argentine filmmaker in his forties, struggling with an unfinished movie inspired by his elusive first love to Alexander, a Swedish friend he met at an international school in the 90’s. Tenderness and fascination define their strong friendship, which is short-lived when Alexander is suddenly expelled back to his country, leaving young Matias with an unresolved story of undeclared emotions. 25 years later, and Matias decides to reopen Pandora’s box as he embarks on a journey to find the ending to his story by coming face-to-face with Alexander, discovering life imitating art.

i HATE GAY FILMS!!!

the whole time i didn’t know if it’s gonna end good or bad, and tbh i’m still not sure how did it actually end…

when Mati played the cassette and it showed Alex how he’s taking off his glasses and BLINKING! i COMPLETELY lost it.

cried for the second time, when at the end Matias touched Alexander’s face… after 24 years… hit really hard.

and also cried - idk if for the third time or it just blended and i’ve just cried for a several minutes - at the end, when next to subtitles was a real camera record…

why can’t gay people be just happy…

anyway, loved every single second even if it hurt.

edit: after three hours my heart still aches thinking about the fact they could have their whole life…
