When the warren belonging to a community of rabbits is threatened, a brave group led by Fiver, Bigwig, Blackberry and Hazel leave their homeland in a search of a safe new haven.
I've got to say, at first as was really not enjoying Watership Down. I think others can agree that it's difficult to get into due to early Disney style voice acting and the old look of the visuals. However, it didn't take me too long to appreciate just how much work went into making this movie. The backgrounds are gorgeous and there are so many of them. I can't imagine how long painting those took. The animation is choppy at times but at others it's stunning. The sequences that involve a lot of motion are extremely impressive for their time. When it comes to the story I didn't expect the world building to be so involved. The opening scene with the god of animals was a spectacle. While I probably wouldn't watch this film again it's clearly a stepping stone in animation and goes in directions you wouldn't expect.

Nothing like people make it out to be It is a good kids cartoon, not that bloody until the end, and still it is not that bad
