"The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which"
It's not bad, but it's incomparable to the book. It loses all the impact and darkness of the story. It omits so much that in the end, if you haven't read the book, it has nothing special or memorable about it, and if you have read the book, it adds nothing. it's like a soft version of the original story.
It has some decent moments, but it really lacks impact, and the ending is quite disappointing after reading the book's ending.
It doesn't feel like a cruel and dark critique at all.
Even so I didn't find it boring, but I don't think it's good either.
The book is something everyone should read, the movie is something anyone could ignore.
