The main moral question that I kept asking was: who is the adulterer in this scenario? Although I suppose no dekalog narrative was designed to provide such a straightforward answer. There is both judgement and empathy, a meditation on the confusion between love and lust, and thus the sin that is conceptualised in doing so. Voyeurism is used as a metaphor for the emotional distance between two people, and while very gruelling to watch, the intertwining of obsession and loneliness is all the more compelling
