Shaitaan started off good and ended up devolving into convoluted madness. I watched it because Madhavan is a great actor, but even he couldn't save this. In my opinion, the plot would've been much better if it remained a psychological thriller, rather than trying to delve into supernatural horror, because the film became laughable after that part of the story was introduced. Ajay Devgn and Jyothika gave decent performances, but the kids were genuinely some of the most irritating on-screen children I've ever seen. I don't think I'll be watching this again any time soon.
