watching this for a second time I came to appreciate how pretty this film actually is. The scenery and how it compliments the story. I also noticed the contrast in color grading in the scenes that shows the past and present. In the present it's more darker, duller and less vibrant compared to the scenes from the past with colorful and bright lighting. It helps us grasp how Jimmy is feeling, the life that had full of colors now is just lifeless and full of dread.
But on the end we came to see a brighter grading, but still has a bit of contrast not as bright as it showed in the past. Showing us that Jimmy did moved on, but still the impact of Ami will never leave him. He will never forget.
The love they shared is no longer a regret of what could've been. But a reminder of their pure lover.
