I’ve been rewatching H2O: just add water & i got the sudden urge to rewatch Bait '2012’ 🦈🩸
i might be biased bc I’m Australian & this is an Australian shark horror but it’s been a favourite of mine since i was 11.
The cast is so elite. It has Xavier Samuel, who i just watched in the new movie Send Help. He plays the main Character Josh in this. Julian Mahone (rest in peace 🕊️🖤) from Charmed. who plays Doyle & his character is soo good in this movie. Then of course Phoebe Tonkin & Cariba Heine who play the iconic Cleo & Rikki in H2O. i could go on & on bc the cast is just so so perfect in this movie.
Obviously the shark looks so ridiculous, like most shark films from the 2000s but this movie is just so fun, cheesy & so underrated🩸🪝

Can’t believe people missed the post credit scene where Martin Brody comes in and says “I’m looking to build a team”.
I’m not really sure why but this was a bit of a childhood obsession for me, I can recall watching it so many times when I was younger and thinking it was amazing and I have absolutely no idea how. I thought I was old enough to realise the acting was shit, the cgi was abysmal and surely that it was also boring as fuck, but apparently not.
This is really bad though and I struggled to keep even the slightest bit interested throughout the whole thing.
I’m not really sure why but this was a bit of a childhood obsession for me, I can recall watching it so many times when I was younger and thinking it was amazing and I have absolutely no idea how. This one is from my childhood. In a lot of ways it holds up, it’s got sharks, stakes, cool setting, crisis situation but when they use the cgi sharks it’s just not good I’m afraid. It’s not just cgi sharks I don’t think but it is cgi sharks for the majority of the time.
