Well, all i needed was a fresh breath of air and Aamir i love you so much for not going the way of massy action films like your contemporaries rather you did what you are best at. But i have to be honest this isn't half as good as his previous ventures before Thugs.
But still cinema is pure and this is purest.
A remake of a Spanish film which i don't opt to watch any soon, this works right but it's short of a little something.
The film fluctuates alot while it is still good in it's comedy .
A fun family watch.
This film doesn't break you like it's previous ip but rather softens your heart.
Still Taare was a goat film and this is a good film too but it doesn't have the impact of it's predecessor.
And yeah another point- The Music.
This film has no significant track which i would remember at any point whereas Taare Zameen Par had one of the best albums of the 2000's.Shankar Ehsaan Loy missed the mark here, man i love TZP.

so humanizing, funny and beautiful!! honestly i had a rough time with the main character because he's just a coward; yes he has an evolution but i feel like it's half way done (why is he being a bitch about everything?? and a bitch to his wife ?? lowk she should leave him omg). i almost feel like i definitely would've enjoyed the movie a bit more if it was about kartar (he's so heartwarming). but thank god they TRULY focused on the students; we could explore their story, their personality beyong just down syndrome and "oh they're happy" and "oh it's difficult". i love this because it's a "normal" movie, with a normal plot and a normal narrative that just happens to be about people with down syndrome, and it's such a huge step because we allow them in our narrative. so yeah aamir plays a total jackass with zero empathy towards anyone, but so many men are, and i think so many people can be BETTER. it's honestly so, so beautiful and FUN, god golu is THE BEST character she's literally the queen you can't convince me otherwise. syndrome down but we UP for sure.
