6/10. Man I wanted to like this a lot more than I did. I honestly think if they did a rom com superhero flick between Novocaine and Sherry it would be so much better. Their romance at the start of the film was amazing. I just wanted more of them together overall. And Jacob Batalon is a goat as always in this role. Even though he does play the same character a lot I still love his work. Novocaine had a ton of fight scenes but only one really landed for me which was the kitchen fight scene. The others fell short to me but all fight scenes ended with some great brutal kills which I loved. I wish the humor in this fiom hit for me also honestly Jacob Batalon was the only one who made me laugh during this film. Honestly the plot was very bland and I did feel very bored at points. Ray Nicholson just has a face of a villain and he delivers a great performance here. I just wish this film was better because it had so much potential. This was dumb but I still enjoyed it at points. Probably no rewatch ability for me but I do love Jack Quaid being Jack Quaid.

Cool premise for an action comedy. Unfortunately the humor doesn’t always hit. Not the greatest plot, but it has some cool and brutal action scenes.
Ray Nicholson is the born villain with that face.
