This movie is pure gold almost through and through. The storytelling and world building, immaculate. The characters, well thought out yet ever changing, emotional and power at the same time, all of them and they all serve a purpose. Gollum going from good to evil and it changes with his eyes, cinematic perfection, subtle yet noticeable enough so you know who’s talking even if it’s the same character. The acting is also phenomenal by all. The battle of helms deep is by far my favorite battle in the series. It’s so well done and I love it, the music is visceral and pounding, it brings it all together. I found one continuity error though, in the scene where Mary and pippen are trying to escape the orcs, one was tied up then he wasn’t when a horse tried to step on him then he was tied up again, other than that little error, this movie is flawless in my eyes. It really is a national treasure at its finest and in my opinion, the 2nd best lord of the rings movie. Fight me.
