a movie where progressive ideals are merely aesthetics without depth and discussion. where the solution to the struggles of being a single parent is chalked up to “idk i guess get a partner”. where a man who centres his life and career around bettering the world and raises the question on if bringing a child into the world is truly what we need right now, throws away all his ideals without looking back. where a mother who (lowkey understandably) felt so betrayed by the radical choices of her daughter til the point she made her leave the house, learns to forgive her off screen. nithya menon and ravi mohan are great but thats barely a compliment when their charm can shine through almost any script. overall, inoffensive progressive media for the average semi progressive man.

aint no way theres people calling this a comfort film already 😭 as if this movie isnt like what if tara and adi didnt work out

kiruthiga wanted ok kanmanis nachos SO BAD she tried reheating them lowkey she kinda did but some parts just didnt land. first of all in a romance movie u have to make me feel some sort of chemistry between the leads and i dont know if its because the leads only meet like an hour into the movie cuz of all the plot about the exes (honestly we couldve just skipped all that with a flashback) and didnt have as much screentime together but damn like i personally felt like it was ravi mohan doing nothing like bro he had more chemistry with the son 

u introduce a gay character to introduce the sperm bank plot and he literally disappears until the end? (tho ig u can say it is a casual representation but idk im tired of seeing barely any gay rep in indian cinema and even yogi babu returns before the ending so DPMO!!! 😒) and omg speaking of the gay character i find it sooo funny when the trailer dropped all the misogynists took screenshots of the line where ravi mohan was like stfu with ur feminist bs and were like WE ARE GONNA WATCH THIS MOVIEE YASS just to be homophobic when they saw vinay rais character

its like she didnt know wtf to do with the whole mother ignoring shriya plot line? the woman just comes back crying like okay writing inconsistency speaking of the writing the dialogues were TOO ENGLISH ong i never thought id be complaining about that but like i fear only gvm can pull that off 😭 

probably the worst ar rahman music ive ever listened to in recent times. god like the yenai ilukuthu di is the only good song and i especially hated the song when she gets pregnant i literally wanted to skip so bad

also the way shriya was acting about having baby fever? that lady only wanted a baby not a child 🤣 the fucking kid ran away twice and she was so chill about it bro really speaks on how horrendous the writing is, they want us to believe that shes a good mother but they show us otherwise?
