How can a romance movie feel so unsettling and hard to watch?

The struggles of Siddhant Chaturvedi, the small ignorance of Tripti, and a man killing people from lower castes in the name of “cleaning society” make it disturbing. You get moments to breathe, but they don’t last, because you know what’s coming.

Both lead actors were excellent, especially the scene where Siddhant’s character breaks down. The long tracking shot gave him the space to fully show his pain.
