Realm of Satan is unbelievably gorgeous- shot after shot I kept thinking “wow I want a still of that framed on my wall” and “can Architectural Digest do some videos about these people’s houses?” but it doesn’t have a ton to offer beyond that. If you don’t already have knowledge about the Church of Satan, it isn’t exactly going to teach you anything. And it’s probably not going to teach you anything even if you do have knowledge about the Church of Satan. Not that it has to! Maybe the aim wasn’t to educate or clear up misconceptions, if so I can’t help but wonder if this would’ve been better as a really fancy coffee table book. I know I’d buy a copy! 5 stars on Goodreads 😘
