I was originally planning on doing The Handmaiden for my 1000th movie logged, but after discovering that this existed and was considered loggable? I had to.
It's from a series that I already love so it was guaranteed to have 5 stars to begin with, but it's... Surprisingly faithful to the original series, even including the parts that I otherwise would've expected to be cut, like Himeno barfing in Denji's mouth. The choreography and action scenes are all really impressive, especially for a live show. I would pay to see this live as well.
