i had added this to my watchlist very long ago, even had the book at home but it was in arabic. So i had been a fan of classics especially Charles Dickens. Never found the time to watch it nor read it over the summer so when i got back school and found out that for our literary analysis for English, it would be Great Expectations. Read the first page of it and decided to watch it because im more of a visual learner. Watched the few seconds of it and it was the make up as the story in the book. The other versions of the movie however were not the same thats why i decided on this version. The movie overall was great and had many plot twists too. Didnt know it would be the man that pip saved would end up saving his life but it was also expected like i always know whats gonna happen in movies even without watching it before. The last part was good and also he ended up with his one first love. Joe was literally so good to him like his own son and the fact that he paid up all the debts too. What was the "Great Expectations", was the fact that he was always expected to be something in the future and he did by trying and meeting the expectations.
