I understand what this pseudo-documentary was trying to show and do. When analyzed through the lens of the 70s (and the rising of the satanic panic that would fully bloom in the 80s), I can see how this piece would be seen as something groundbreaking and completely disturbing, almost impossible to watch. And I won't deny that I was really scared to watch it after hearing stories of coworkers of mine about how people reacted when it came out. At first, I was really enjoying the format of it, showing us the spectators, the literal faces of death. That being said, it gets to a point where it feels like a bunch of footage randomly put together, and it gets boring. I don't know if this is because, sadly were more conditioned to grotesque media, especially how crime is being covered by the news. But overall, it was a good watch, and I really liked the ending.
