I got extra lucky today because I finished all three of my watches a bit early & just happened to come across this nichè film while looking for something to pass the time which it does to some success. I wouldn’t call this the most original movie in the world, honestly, it’s pretty much written like any other James Wan inspired film (as in: not really my thing) with only a few cool visual scares & an Idonesian setting separating it from the flock added it begins to run a little low on fumes towards the end in the budget department while even having a little bit of stylistic cringe (i.e. the conversation between our protagonist & the spirit from ~1hr 28 to 1 hr 30 mins in made me laugh a little, which isn’t the intended effect I imagine). Again, not bad, but if you asked me about it tomorrow, I might only be able to tell you one or two things I remembered from the whole thing. It was a good effort though.
