Even better than I remembered. Love that in amongst all the escalating tension there are just small everyday family moments. And obviously Michael Shannon has been amazing forever.

Michael Shannon carries this. Very pretty movie. But felt pointless.

Been wanting to rewatch Jeff Nichols pre Bikeriders. Grief is such a luxury rarely afforded to people without means and I love the matter of fact manner of storytelling here with the weight and emotion slipping out in moments. Michael Shannon always makes me feel like the little girl in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood telling Leo that was some of the best acting she’s ever seen.
