❝If I give you a heads-up before slapping you, is it gonna hurt any less?❞

This was so hard to get through because I absolutely hated the main character. It's disappointing that the director, being a woman, wrote and directed a film with such strong patriarchal views and incel opinions. Varun as a character was genuinely despicable; it felt like he was trying to ragebait the people around him and the audience constantly, and the fact that he wasn't portrayed as a villain is mind-boggling. Controlling behaviour, emotional cheating, manipulation – I could go on with all the twisted things he did. This film was just a two hour test of seeing if I had enough self-control to stop myself from punching the TV. I'm never watching it again.
