Subtle and real but tragically ordinary and totally heartbreaking. We all know how this story ends. We've been Kelly or we've been Louise. We've all loved and lost a Kelly or a Louise in our lives. Or maybe a few of them. My heart breaks for every girl and every woman.
I feel so much like Louise's mom when she says she feels guilty for not doing more for Kelly. Even if she maybe did do all she could for her as someone who isn't her mother. It was beautiful to see that love she had for her all the same. So many of my friends' parents were so amazing and important to me growing up. The older I get, the more grateful I am that I had the community I had in my friends' families. My parents never had to worry about me when I was with them because they truly loved and cared for me and vice versa. That's pretty cool.
Anyway. Happy Taurus Season, friends!! It's that special time of year where I get to be more obsessed with Taurus women and my own Taurus traits than usual. Which is saying quite a lot! Jane Campion is a Taurus and a hell of a filmmaker. Excited to watch more from her and other Taurus artists this season.
