Oh, so this is a puff piece.
I grew up watching and rewatching Cheech and Chong whenever their movies came up on Comedy Central when I was in middle school. They were my first introduction to stoner comedy and, honestly, still just the absolute cream of the crop. I’d read up on their routines and their history since then, so not a lot of things here are new for me, but hearing Cheech and Chong talk about it themselves and in a retrospective light in this manner. The setup of the film is Cheech and Chong in a car trying to get to “The Joint” when they eventually take a weed gummy. It’s just a fun way for them to start and allow for sudden surprise appearances from people closest to them during this trip.
The forward trajectory of their lives is so unique and so special. You can tell that even when they talk about the hard times in their friendship that they just care way too deeply about one another and what they made for any bad thing to keep them apart for too long. Men just don’t become friends like this anymore
