Original plot for a satirical war movie. Some of these scenes were stunning, like the thermal imaging bathing... really cool. and in general the abu dice-fairuz dynamics were super cute i loved them. honestly I think it would've been nicer as just a romcom.
but the random cuts to real war footage suggest I should be taking it somewhat seriously? in that case it falls short.
I don't really know how any of the characters feel about the war or even about the simulation. there's just a vibe of war is a game and it's the only thing america is good at. yes well I agree but... what else?
in the end its a fun movie and I did learn that american mock foreign villages are a real thing. kinda crazy they even have a Russian one called donovia. damn.
