Like the writers wrote it in one night under the influence and didn’t edit it lol I feel like it could have been done right though. I did have some good laughs but mainly sunk in my chair cringing. But hey, gotta have bad reviews to balance out my Flick ratings spread lol

Yeah kind of at a loss for words. I am not very familiar with Tim Robinson’s work so this one was a bit of a blind spot for me. The movie is filled with a ton of laughs, especially from the crowd who all clearly was had a wealth of previous Tim Robinson knowledge.

Aside from the laughs the direction was all over the place, likely intentional. I didn’t understand the relationship with the wife (fine btw). And just didn’t really get what the fuck was happening through the constant 2nd hand embarrassment.

I thought this was going to try to be a piece on loneliness in today’s society and the difficulties men have forming friendships as they age, but I am not sure that was what was happening. I think it was much more of a barrage of hyper fixations. Each hyper fixation was centered on chasing this dragon that he believed friendship and relationships are all while ignoring the current and important ones he already had. But who knows, maybe I’m just reaching for something that wasn’t ever really there.
