What do they say? "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." It's completely another thing to say "If you can't beat em, join em." I can understand how it is to feel powerless, to be scared to speak out in the face of danger. I'm feeling that right now. The fight for survival at times feels like an existential lesson in futility. My first thought is to say that I'd never join that side, but then I'm still applying to minimum wage jobs for companies that have supported the rise of fascism in the US. It feels so hopeless. Still, I believe if worse comes to worst, I will fight.
So I guess this is less of a review and more of a journal entry brought on by the feelings this film gave me. ha
