Respectfully, this is one of the worst movies of the year. Just did not click for me. Really awful script. SUBZERO CHEMISTRY BETWEEN TWO LOVE INTERESTS.
Colin is fine, not great for the script he’s given. Margot turns in one of the most lifeless performances ever — in a film that requires so much emotional heavy lifting… she gives nothing.
I will say — the coffee shop scene SMACKED. I hate that it took 75 minutes of a 109 minute runtime to have a good scene, but that was legitimately the best of the film. It single-handedly brought the star rating up.
And then the rest of the movie course corrected to the first 70 minutes. The scene talking to younger him in his room is good. Second best scene of the film. Still just a bad movie.
