while my viewing of the first moana wasn’t quite as eventful as my good friend’s, it still had some lovely qualities - how far i’ll go was a banger, cute character development for a kid’s film.
moana 2 felt like a bunch of people wrote 8 versions of the same plot then copy and pasted diff points into a final film. why did the old grumpy side character have more development than moana and maui? the final 15 minutes was actually pretty good, but the buildup did such a bad job of making you care about the main quest or characters that it fell flat. dog water music btw.
coconut guy was cute, should’ve featured him more.
