I absolutely adore stop-motion, so from the get-go The Maker already scored some points in my book. It was hauntingly beautiful, with some pretty quirky characters and gorgeous score. The whole film reminded me a bit of the opening scene from Coraline; I don't really want to compare the two since the latter is a higher budget feature film, but the creation of the new 'rabbit' in The Maker followed some similar steps, and had the same uncanny atmosphere. Really recommend giving it a watch on YouTube, and I'm definitely going to check out the accompanying book.
