Creating Rem Lezar doesn't feel like a movie in any way; it's got the vibe of an extended pilot episode of a terrible children's' musical show? They make a lot of assumptions about our ability to fill in the blanks and they don't want to take the time to explain anything. An ass-hole and a bitch have the same imaginary friend that visits them in their dreams, but instead of a Nightmare on Elm Street scenario, they dream of Rem Lezar who is their self-help guru. The two kids are awful actors and worse singers. Rem Lezar is okay I guess, but most of the time I can't understand what the Hell he's saying. The plot is confusing and I'm sure the target audience won't notice or care, but I can't imagine them being to interested in corny songs that all have one of two tunes or the bland cinematography and color palate. I guess there is a good message for kids in Creating Rem Lezar, but I don't really know, nothing makes any damn sense. Two terrible kids run away from home with a mannequin and spend the night in an abandoned shed in the middle of the forest where they dream that a creepy man with blue hair needs a necklace in order to stay alive, but 8-bit Zordon has hid it. So two children leave their homes with Blue Hair and travel from New York to the mountains. The special effects are terrible. The songs are cliche and mostly sung terribly. The plot makes no sense and should be an anti-child abduction video. I would not recommend this for kids. The only audience that can possibly get any enjoyment out of Creating Rem Lezar need alcohol to function. Perfect for a bad movie night, but it is definitely a bad movie.
