“Deservedness is not a requisite for forgiveness.”
Such a strong film, man. Rich with themes of grief, loneliness, love growth, trauma response, forgiveness, etc.
James Sweeney is a masterful director even with just two feature films, both of which I loved. The way this is shot and edited is legitimately up there with my favorite cinematography ever, and certainly my favorite when you scale budget v budget. Editing is strong as ever.
And then… again.. Dylan O’Brien is just absolutely masterful. Roman is a deeply flawed human grieving his twin, and O’Brien puts on a perfect display. His Roman and Rocky both are simply perfect.
This is such a great movie man. A welcomed surprise in theaters a year ago, and a worthy representative on my top 70 favorites ranking at #45.
