i hesitate to call this a meditation, cuz it isn't - it's a wild, weird, stupidly hilarious trip about male friendships, hubris and denial, being young and being dumb and lost. this mockumentary is also deeply stressful and grungy in the most satisfying sort of way, emulating the likes of the saufdie brothers and guy ritchie's earlier work.
and sure, it's not perfect: the jokes don't always land, the themes are a little undistilled, the ending is maybe a bit too bleak for my taste - but i just never saw anything like this on youtube. it's a small miracle that it even exists.
