Iv'e never felt like a child while watching a film in my life. This is too cute and wholesome, it's highly underrated. The two main character have such an adorable dynamic and perfectly displays harmony between co-existing species. Sometimes I forget the Celestine is a child despite her being good at criminal activities. The quote in "your have to rot other's teeth other than yourselves" is an accurate portrayal of modern business and their greed for money. It's funny how there's a top and bottom society that also kinda shows animal hierarchy in the food chain. Loved the irony on how the childcare worker says "beware of the big evil bear" when it's literally Celestine's job to go into their houses. I did not expect Nick Offerman to be in the the english dubbed but his voice is perfect for it (though I watched the French dubbed). The storytelling is engaging and interesting as the comedy aspects make it much more entertaining. Sorry but when Celestine was looking at the "fishes", they did NOT look like fishes at all and was definitely something else... if ykyk. Ernest & Celestine is a captivating. mesmerizing, lovely film that'll make bears and mice learn to be in a symbiotic relationship
