a short that really doesn't have a proper goal or anything to say. for something that is so boldly gratuitous, it strangely commits to being extremely surface level and derivative. using sexual assault, queerness, and muteness all in tasteless and pointless ways to shock audiences. this short also does not evolve beyond its premise, going absolutely nowhere in its entire run. aside from an absolutely insane climax that feels again exploitative, unnecessary, forced and unnatural which will all just be ignored under the guise of it "being up for viewer interpretation".
it feels like the people who made this wrote it in like 10 minutes after finding out same sex sexual assault cases in boarding schools actually do happen. and why not add a disabled character who also becomes a victim for shock value. this film does nothing but uphold negative queer stereotypes and exploiting disabled people and a real disturbing phenomenon.
and again the ending is just so fucking edgy and pretentious, like are u serious. the forced "villain wins" thing just leaves such a bad taste when it's this graphic, unearned, and lacking of nuance. everything here is just so one dimensional and a complete waste of time.
