How does one come to terms to their own immoral act. When does something become a monster. This is a horror movie, I'd put it in the monster sub-genere, same as jaws.
Why do humans kill things. Why do humans relate to animals, why do humans attach emotions to things that don't know the similarities of a smile, a feeling of joy.
In the search for answers and forgiveness we look to faith, belief, and preachers. All in the hope being forgiven, but if you truly did something wrong and you know you did, and you feel you have. There is no use in asking for forgiveness as you'd need to forgive yourself. The world has changed we can't solve modern problems with the help of traditions. Humans have no need to hunt, or to hunt an animal. We have no reason to antagonise the father of those who we kill, especially if we had no cause for murder, outside of our own self interests.
In the 1977 movie, "orca". A fisherman in the hopes of receiving a fortune in return, attempts to capture a wild orca for an aquarium. This results in him killing one, and it's unborn child. During this event he already feels remorse and guilt for his action, and later regret after, the mate and father of the orca and calf that he killed, starts terrorising a small fishing village, and starts attacking his loved ones.
Throughout the movie the fisherman looks for an escape from his sorrow, bur is met with the notion that the only thing he can do is find his own way out of the problem he has put himself in, a minister tells him this. And when he asks a Native American, who has given him advice and warnings of the whale, he is told that their culture had moved on from the world, a world different and foreign to concepts of a free way out.
The stages of grief may not be visible in a being with out many visible expressions, or one that we can understand. We may just see a violent animal, something dangerous. This movie tells us that to them communication and vocalisation is not necessary, that to them it was apparent that it was a mother holding a calf, they have no idea how blind eyes are without the knowledge of what they are look.
Anger, is visible. Anger, is apparent. Anger, is a fuel source. Anger, manifests in action. And either dies or prevails in conflict. One may win a battle against a combatant, but they will never understand truly why it had to get to this point
