slow paced done right.
filmnya tenang, pelan, banyak heningnya… tapi ga pernah terasa kosong atau membosankan. tiap dialog terasa indah dan manusia banget. tegangnya dapet, emosionalnya juga dapet tanpa harus lebay.
Suka banget sama cara penyelesaian masalahnya. hangat, sakit, tapi juga bikin lega🥲.
sekali lagi Colin Firth nusuk gue dengan cara yang lembut (udah berapa film jir gw di bikin nangis sama dia)

Really powerful stuff. It’s does falter in the way it presents itself and the characters need work but at its essence, it’s incredibly heartfelt and such a powerful story. Colin Firth leads the film brilliantly and all the stuff with Hiroyuki Sanada is fantastic. I can’t really believe that this is based on a true story and the ending text was a really nice bit of satisfaction, if you can call it that. It’s not shot or produced in any brilliant way and if anything, it’s very basic in that respect, but the performances and story are really great. Bit of a mixed bag on the whole then, but I think the good outweighs the bad!!!

thought it was nothing special cause these type of sad movies arent really my type forgetting what it said at the beginning and btw if a movie says based on a true story its a good movie and those pictures come up at the end changing my whole perspective
