Absolutely great and beautiful, a fantastic story with an impressively complex conflict (for some reason I didn't expect a Ghibli film to be so intense).
But damn, everything to do with the boars is just creepy as shit.
And I don't trust the forest god. He is supposed to be an elk or something, but his face is far too humanoid for my taste...

WOW this movie was amazing. It somehow managed to capture the all the nuances of sustainability and environmental issues while still being a banger fantasy film featuring Old Testament Smiskis. 10/10

I bought a princess mononoke sticker that says “in the mood to lovingly conspire against the forces that try to keep us separate and isolated” because it’s a beautiful quote & sticker and now that i’ve finally seen the movie, beautiful movie and phenomenal sticker. what a gorgeous and heartbreaking plot and cast of characters. one of the best movie ending
