really liked everything that was setting up thematically, but some of it like the plot line with the soldier just felt off. Farahani’s performance was great and she carried the movie. the ending did kind of come out of nowhere and didn’t feel super believable which brought it down a little

Excellent film! Farahani truly delivers a high caliber performance of a woman trapped not only in war, but within the patriarchy and religion.  

The final shot of was just excellent. 

Fun mention: There was a little Bollywood number in the brothel, and the poster to Rishi Kapoor (i think) poster in the background! :)
