great atmosphere. and while the story loses itself a bit in the third act, it's a solid release. more than solid, it's stunning.

An effective little creepfest that utilises its single location well to create something greater than the sum of its parts. Some pretty decent scares and a few startling moments help create the atmosphere that helps make it all work.

the film showed potential at the beginning but fell apart in the last ten minutes. the ending was incredibly disappointing and lacked any meaningful impact. to be honest, cant say much more about it that's how unimpressive the movie was. im surprised by the viewers who praised this nonsense. i mean, did anyone actually enjoy the ending or understand the story behind the witch? it was just about a flesh-eating witch living in a basement, nothing more, nothing less. save your time and dont bother watching it because you'll likely be let down. recently, many films start off strong but then lose their way towards the middle or end. it's getting quite frustrating. we really need better writers.
