Logline: two queer girls cross paths in the most unlikely of places—a Brooklyn deli. What begins as an innocent spark of attraction soon spirals into a gripping tale of blurred boundaries, obsession, and the complexities of desire. Bodega unfolds as a blend of 'You' and a promising meet-cute, initially presenting the prospect of a beautiful queer love story that teeters on the edge of cliché. The narrative takes a sinister turn when Nora, in her quest for connection, becomes obsessed with Eve. How far will she go?

watched this while waiting for moshi monsters to download👍

this reminds me of when I watched YOU but they're lesbians instead. I was not expecting the ending at all I thought it was gonna be a cute lesbian short film😭😭

i'd honestly love for this to be made into a feature-length film. i feel there's so much potential to build the characters' identities and personalities if this was longer and more fleshed out. nevertheless, i definitely loved it for what it was!

si se puede!

nice, creative short. ending was mind-boggling soo snaps for that. may i experience a crush on some girl i run into at some bodega in nyc minus the stalking 🙏🙏 loved the cinematography and the performances given by the actors. the director sharik geneve did a great job with this. her work “amplifies queer and bipoc voices,” voices that are often overlooked or shut down by the media. geneve’s love for film is evident in what she does. i can’t wait to see more of their work online as well as on the big screen.
