As it is said in the film, every character has their own destiny. In the end, Forrest and Jenny’s roles somehow reversed. At first, Jenny was Forrest’s only friend; later, as adults, Forrest became a kind of refuge for Jenny whenever she felt lost. But Forrest had also been present in Jenny’s childhood, when she was living with a violent father. He was always her safe place in the end.
Forrest eventually became the person who changed the lives of people who were at their lowest. And now, he is taking care of his young son and sharing his life experiences with him.
This film moved me deeply. Despite his disability, he learned to grow, to adapt, and he always kept his promises. He remained present for the people he loved and even for the one who had pushed him away while seeing him only as a friend (Jenny).
