I like Mark Wahlberg quite a bit, but this character fell flat for me. I don’t know if this has to do with his acting, their writing, or the directors interpretation.
The real hero of this movie was LaKeith Stanfield who was very funny as always.

You can tell this is a straight to streaming action flick, but it’s nowhere near as dull as most.
It’s well paced and the action is consistently entertaining, though it starts off quite ridiculous. The script is surprisingly well put together, with some great comedic moments and characters that feel more real than you’d expect.
Despite some glaring flaws, this a decent film. I’ve no idea about Westlake’s work on which this is based, so I can’t speak on how good it is as an adaptation.
