[BORN PINK] was my second concert film in cinemas, with my first being the Eras Tour, an experience that would probably never be matched in cinemas.
I went to watch with my siblings with my sister being the biggest fan of the band out of the trio. The concert film was an entertaining experience, with fans screaming and jumping for each and every song.
The film knows which songs are the highlight and it does a good job of building hype for those special attractions, which even someone like me would be familiar with. My sister was just screaming her heart out, and that tells everything you need to know. It is not catered to someone like me, but the diehard fans of the girl group, who would love this spectacle.
The film doesn't set itself up during one concert but showcases bits and pieces of the entire tour itself, which was held in every major city of the world like Paris, Bangkok and of course Seoul.
The editing was done so seamlessly and smoothly that the change of concert doesn't even register in your mind. We only know that it is a different concert because of the costume changes. It will transition mid-dance move and you won't even realize that something has changed.
I did think that the film doesn't do a particularly good of showcasing the audience's reception towards the concert, with the K-pop group being the sole focus and leaving the expression of the audience to our imagination. It would have been wonderful to see some members of the audience dancing or reacting to big moments.
